L&T Hydrocarbon-EMAS AMC Win Order From Saudi Aramco To Install Offshore Jackets

The project is for installing 28 offshore jackets in Aramco’s Zuluf, Marjan, Sfaniya and Ribyan offshore fields in Saudi Arabia.

Larsen & Toubro Ltd. on Thursday said a consortium of subsidiary L&T Hydrocarbon Engineering Ltd. and EMAS-AMC Pte. Ltd. have been awarded a project by Saudi Arabian Oil Company for offshore jackets.

An offshore jacket is the steel frame supporting the deck and the topsides in a fixed offshore platform. EMAS-AMC Pte. Ltd. is a subsidiary of Subsea7, a Luxembourg-based offshore projects delivering company.

The project is for installing 28 such offshore jackets in Zuluf, Marjan, Sfaniya and Ribyan offshore fields of Saudi Arabia, L&T said in an exchange filing. "Consortium of L&T Hydrocarbon Engineering Ltd. and EMAS-AMC Pte. Ltd. has been awarded a project by Saudi Aramco," it said.

The award demonstrates Saudi Aramco's trust on L&T Hydrocarbon Engineering's capability to deliver to a challenging schedule with excellent safety and quality performance L&T said.

L&T Hydrocarbon Engineering's fabrication facilities in the Middle East and India are fully equipped to execute these challenging projects, the company said.
